Managing your pizzeria’s brand online

Review sites are often the first place customers turn to learn about your restaurant — but do you know how to keep up with your pizzeria’s reviews across the Internet? Here are some resources and information you will need to manage your pizzeria’s brand online and grow your business.

Why do online reviews matter for my pizzeria?

Customers in your market have choices — and plenty of information about those choices. That’s why it’s more important than ever to manage how your pizzeria is portrayed online. The place to do that? Online review sites.

What channels should I be monitoring?

The list of sites for customers to provide their opinion seems to never stop growing, but to keep it simple, we recommend just sticking to the core four:

  • Google: One of the most trusted review sites on the Internet
  • Yelp: One of the first places customers and foodies look for reviews
  • Facebook: The most personal platform; remember you’re talking to people and be human
  • TripAdvisor: It’s not just for travelers; locals use it, too

How to flag to a negative review:

  1. Review codes of conduct on a particular site to see what qualifies
  2. Log into your account (if you don’t have an account, create one)
  3. Flag comment for review by moderators (usually, as on Yelp, you’ll click the three dots in the upper-left corner of a comment and select “Report Review”)
