4 slices Artisan baguette, sliced on bias 1” thick
Directions
Place 1 cup of spicy marinara sauce into 6” cast iron skillet or clay pot, place skillet into wood fired oven or under broiler until sauce comes to a boil. (approximately 6 to 8 minutes)
Brush 4 slices of bread with olive oil and grill until marked.
Remove skillet from oven and place Burrata directly into center of sauce with knot side up, place skillet back into oven for 1 minute then remove.
Garnish with crushed red pepper and olive oil drizzle. Serve with Grilled bread slices.
Spicy Marinara
Yield: Two servings spicy marinara
Ingredients
28 oz. can Italian whole peeled tomatoes
1 clove Fresh garlic, crushed
1 tsp. Sea salt
1 tsp. Crushed red pepper
2 tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
2 leaves Fresh basil, chopped
Directions
Empty can of tomatoes into a bowl. Using your hands, crush tomatoes until chunky.
In a sauté pan, heat olive oil and add garlic, cook until golden brown, but not burnt, add tomatoes and bring to a boil. Season with salt, crushed red pepper and basil.
